1.What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. Similar technologies serve the same purpose in different ways and include local storage, tracking pixels and software development kits (SDKs). Together they allow a website to function, remember your preferences (such as your chosen language), help keep you secure and let us understand how the site is used.
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period. They may also be first-party cookies, set by WhichClinic, or third-party cookies, set by providers such as Google. This policy explains which cookies and technologies we use and how you can control them, and it complements our Privacy Policy.
2.How we ask for your consent (Google Consent Mode)
When you first visit WhichClinic, a consent banner appears. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot function without them, and they do not require your consent. Non-essential cookies — chiefly analytics cookies — are set only after you accept them.
We use Google Consent Mode. Until you give consent, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, consent-denied state that does not store analytics cookies or identifiers on your device; once you accept, measurement is enabled. You may accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or adjust your choice at any time, as described in the section on managing your consent.
Remembering your choice
Your consent choice is itself stored in a small, strictly necessary cookie, so that we do not have to ask you again on every page.
3.Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — support security, network and load balancing, and store your language/locale and your cookie-consent choice. These are always on and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics / performance — Google Analytics 4, used to understand aggregated and largely de-identified usage (such as pages viewed, general location and device type) so that we can improve the Platform. These are set only with your consent.
- Preferences / functionality — remember non-essential choices that improve your experience. Where such choices are not strictly necessary, these cookies are set only with your consent.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

Exact cookie names, providers and lifetimes may change; the consent banner always reflects the current set.
5.Third-party cookies
Our main third party is Google, which provides Google Analytics 4. When you consent, Google may set analytics cookies and process usage data on our behalf, acting as a processor or provider under our configuration (IP handling follows Google’s settings and no advertising features are enabled). Google’s own processing of data is also governed by Google’s policies.
We do not sell your data and we do not use third-party advertising cookies. Please see our Privacy Policy for information on legal bases and any international transfers of personal data.
6.Managing and withdrawing your consent
- 1Use the consent banner or the “cookie settings” link on the site to change or withdraw your choice at any time.
- 2Withdrawing consent stops any further non-essential cookies; cookies already stored can be deleted through your browser.
- 3Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. The exact steps differ by browser — for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each have their own controls.
- 4Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.
7.Browser signals and updates to this policy
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. We honour the consent choices you make through our banner and, where technically supported, such browser signals; however, there is currently no universal standard for how they must be interpreted.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools, providers or the applicable law change. We will revise the “last updated” date below and, for material changes, will surface the update through the consent banner.
